Worksite Safety

Full Stack Developer (Laravel/Vue)

Technology – Dundas (Hamilton), Ontario
Department Technology
Employment Type Full-time
Minimum Experience Experienced
Compensation Based on Experience

Worksite Safety is looking for a creative, highly-organized and efficiency-obsessed Laravel Developer to join our growing application development team in the beautiful Dundas Valley (in Hamilton), Ontario.

The Ideal Candidate

You get excited when talking about Laravel and Vue.js and actively follow or participate in the development community.

You obsess over writing clean and efficient code and delight in a minimalistic file structure, but know when it's time to ship the damn thing.

You are always open to discussing new and different tools, resources and approaches to your workflow and are open to change for the greater good

When you aren't building a new piece of functionality, you are testing and refactoring previous work to continuously improve the quality and scalability of the application (and improving the quality of life for you and your team in the future).

For you, programming is equally art and science and you pursue beauty and precision both in your code and the output it produces.

We offer unmatched growth opportunities, self-guided professional development,  competitive compensation, full benefits, an aggressive profit sharing program, a fun and relaxed work environment, and a team of like-minded specialists who are all passionate about doing their best work.

The Role

Everyday you will be drawing on every aspect of your skills and experience as you contribute to the development of Worksite Safety's employee health and safety management web application.

You will be joining a project with a focus on new feature development in its relative infancy, so collaboration with your team mates and external resources is imperative to ensure that every commit is carefully reviewed and the future of your contribution carefully considered to ensure stability and scalability of the application AND codebase separately now and in the future.

You will be responsible not just for small functional areas, but large pieces of the application and its interface and your work will directly impact the lives of tens of thousands of workers and managers across our country. With great power comes great responsibility, and we expect that isn't taken lightly.

You will be working on a smaller team, building a huge piece software, using the latest in resources and methodologies, to make a product used daily by several thousands of people, and having a lot of fun doing it (we hope!).

Skills & Experience

  • Performs front-end development tasks with Vue.js and TailwindCSS
